FINDING YOUR COLOR SEASON :)

Depending on your skin tone, eye color, and hair color, you are matched with a certain color season (i.e. Light Spring, Clear Winter, Soft summer, ect.). If you wear colors designated to your season, you will look amazing everyday! ;)

How do you find your season?

Summers and Winters have cool skin undertones (and blue veins), Springs and Autumns have warm skin undertones (veins are green). If your skin, eyes, and hair are all warm, your a warm season (Warm Autumn, Warm Spring). If your coloring is all cool with no yellow or red tones, you are a cool season (Cool Winter, Cool Summer). Bright and sparkling eyes indicate a clear season. If dark features are your most noticible quality, then you're a dark season. Delicate and light tones and features indicate a light season. If everythihng is soft and blended, you are a soft season.

Here are some charts to find out which season you are;

Epic Random Dream House Contest

 If I could live anywhere in the world then I would probably like to live in a Hawaii mansion made entirely of magic blue and red oreos. Yes it's childish but what the heck! Tell me that living in an oreo mansion wouldn't be just a little cool?

 The oreos of course, would be magical ones that wouldn't melt or go stale and would constantly replenish themselves. They would be red and blue, on account of those being my fave colors. Only the walls would be made of oreos though. All the furniture and stuff would be normal. I would have a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean, and I would have a giant outdoor pool and hot tub. The water in the pool would be light transparent teal.

Flooring would be cherry hardwood and the ceilings would be high but not to high and white.

If you could live anywhere in anything made of whatever you wanted, where and what would it be?

What is your uniquely weird dream house?

Post the description in the coomments, to enter the Epic Random Dream House Contest.

Trying New Things

Have you ever wanted to try something, but it seems hard to do, or people tell you that you can't do it? Well you should do it!
It's always good to try new things. Whether it's a different type of food, hanging out with someone you've never hung out with before, or dressing in a new style. In life, we are constantly changing, even though we might not realize it. Changes can be good or bad, but its always good to try new things.
  • Change up your diet. Try eating things you've never eaten before.
  • Try a different style. Change you hair, your clothes or the type of makeup you wear. You could change your style to stand out, to blend in, neon or black... The sky is the limit! :D
  • Hang out with new people at school.
  • If you never hand in your homework on time, then maybe you should!
  • Sit next to someone different in class.
  • If you always go to Mexico during the summer, try going somewhere else, like Paris or Hawaii.
  • If you're the kind of person who plays sprots all the time and never reads, then you could try switching it up, or vise versa.

Trying new things opens up a ton of possibilities and if can help you in many ways;
  1. To try something new, you might need to build courage. Building courage is already a good factor and it helps with your self esteem.
  2. Trying new things forces you to grow. Reading a book will never amount to anything if you just read the same sentence over and over again.
  3. Trying something new opens the change to enjoy something new. For example, if you try a food you've never eaten before, it could end up being the best thing you've ever tasted!
  4. Trying new things adds variety to your life so that you won't get bored.

This week, I encourage you to try something new. Talk to someone new, hang out with someone new, wear your hair differently. Whatever you want!
Talk to you soon!

Confronting Your Crush

Ok so people often say to me "Hey, I like this guy/girl do u think I should tell them?"

Here's my response:

Yes!

I think that if you really like someone, you should tell them. Yolo, right? I know that saying is over used but in cases like this it's so true! If you tell them, and they like you back then that's awesome and you can live happily ever after! If they say no then of course you'll be upset and it might be awkward for a bit but it won't be long till everything is normal again. In other words, if he doesn't like you then whatever, it's his loss! Just shake it off and keep living life.

Be bold. Just go right up and say "hey I like you and I wanted to know if you like me back." He might be a little shocked at first, if he likes you back then he'll be a little awkward but if he says yes then the next step is "do you wanna go out for lunch sometime?" if he doesn't like you then just say ok and walk away.
Do it over text it you feel more comfortable that way but in person Is better.

Be confident. A guy can tell how confident you feel. Read my blog about how to be super confident to find tips on how to look and feel confident!

Dont act nervous. If you play with the edge of your shirt of constantly fix your hair while you're talking, he'll know you're nervous and it might make him feel awkward.

Face facts. If he doesn't like you, he'll tell you. It's sad but wounds heal. You should probably just go hang out woth some friends, do something fun, and resist the urge to eat a bucket of ice cream or a whole jar of nutella.

Remember. People always have the doubt of "what if they don't like me back?" well, think of this. What if they do like you back? What if he likes you and you like him but you guys don't know, and you're both worried that the other doesn't like you which would equal neither of you telling the other. So when you guys could both be dating the girl/guy you like, instead you're both sitting by the tv wondering if they like you back.

I hope this helped!
Good luck!

Sincerely,
Lena

Emotional Sensitivity

Dedicated to my friend :) I hope this helps!

If any finds any spelling errors please let me know so I can fix them ASAP.

15 to 20 percent of our worlds population  are HSP (highly sensitive people)or are EOS (emotionally over sensitive). Personally, I think that saying someone is "emotionally over sensitive" sounds kind of insulting, so I'm going to stick with the term HS (highly sensitive).

Most HSPs think that being very emotionally sensitive is a bad thing, but I'm happy to say that IT IS NOT BAD.

I think we can all state the cons of being HS; you may be self conscious about what people say about you, you may over-react sometimes, you make take longer to heal after a break-up, you can be easily overwhelemed, you could be affected by others peoples emoptions, you might want or need lots of space an time to yourself or you might be a perfectionist.

All of these things are some downers of being an HSP, however there are some GOOD qualities too;

You pay more attention to sensory details, you can find the "nuances" in meanings (more likely for you to predict the possible outcome before you act), you are more emotionally aware (more likely to take better care of your health, more aware of your inner emotional state meaning that you can put more in any art form such as writing, painting, music and theatre), usually creative thinkers, you show more empathy, you might have a stronger intuition, passionate, you may be dedicated to fairness and justice (interested in changing the world), loyal, generous, you can "see the big picture", you might be more appreciiative of beauty than others (in nature and the [inner] beauty of people).

Now, look up at the paragraphs of pros and cons. Do you see how the list of good things is way longer than the list of not-so-good things?

If your still not convinced that being a highly emotionally sensitive person is not bad, and is just a unique part of who you are, then here's a list of things you can do to try and lower your emotional sensitivity level;
  1. Be sincere about your feelings.
  2. Meditate. some people might think this sounds dumb but it's very calming and its a way to be in contact with your feelings.
  3. Find your trigger. Our sensitivity usually rests in certain places with key triggers. These triggers usually come from our five sense (ex. a photo, colour, scent, sound, or a sensation). Other triggers can be habits or routines, patterns that your brain has developped to deal with your job, your relashionship, your schoolwork, etc.
  • Writing your sensitivity triggers down in a journal can help you realise and overcome them. Write about experiences that trigger your emotions in your journal.
     4. Don't rush it. You need to know something really well before you act on it.
     5. Be brave and start to let it out. When you can admit to yourself that your sensitivity doesn't help you, you can start to let go.
     6. Be patient. I will take time.
     7. Build strength

How To Be Super Confident

Hey :D
So this is for people who need a little confidence boost. Whether it's because you don't feel good about youself or if you need to do somehing big but youre scared.
Follow this action plan and you'll look and feel confident where ever you go!

Action Plan:

1) The walk. One way to determin how someone feels about themselves is to look at their walk. Is it slow? Tired? Or is it tall and proud? Walk with your shoulders straight and just walk like you own the place. Don't exagerate to much though or you'll end up looking like an idiot :P
2) Good Posture. Posture is another way to tell how a person feels about themself or just their mood in general. Do you slouch or sit up straight? People with slumped shoulders show a lack of self confidence. Sit up, stand tall, and make eye contact.
3) this is something I call a "personal commercial". This step isn't necessary but some people find it helpful. Write a speech that states good things about yourself then every night before you go to bed, listen to it, or recite it in front of the mirror whenever you feel you need it.
4) Gratitude. If you think of all the things you don't have or have not acheived then it leads you to think about you weaknesses. Focus on gratitude and think about all of your acheivements and things that you have completed that made you feel good about yourself. By concentrating on what you have done, it helps think of what you can accomplish in the future, building self confidence.
5) Sit in the front row. People usually sit in the back row at assemblies or meetings because they don't want to be noticed. Sitting in the front row will show that you like to be noticed.
6) Speak up. In group disscusions, speak up and don't be afraid to share your opinion.
7) Work out. Going to the gym will make you feel healthy and refreshed. If your out of shape, you might feel insecure. Working out energizes you and you can think more positively about yourself.

I hoped this helped you guys out!

May you succeed in being super confident :P

Peace!

-Lena
